  • In 2010, Lindsey Stirling was a quarter-finalist on Season 5 of America's Got Talent, where she was described as a "hip-hop violinist" after impressing the judges, not only by mixing hip-hop, pop and classical music on the violin, but by incorporating the dancing while playing violin, which she also and always does on her tours and music videos.
  • During 2011, after her performance at America's Got Talent, Lindsey's YouTube channel ( which she created in 2017 ) had rapidly gained popularity and has over 1.5 billion total views and over 8.0 million subscribers. Because of this, Lindsey began making music videos regularly on her channel.
  • During her childhood, Lindsey was raised in a modest household and states "I wouldn't trade my humble childhood years for anything else". Due to her family's financial limitations, her parents could only afford to find a violin teacher who gives her some basic lessons. Told by the instructors that "a child is not going to learn how to play in 15 minutes a week", her parents persisted, and when having five years old, Lindsey began taking violin lessons.
  • As sixteen years old, Lindsey studied at Mesquite High School and joined four friends in a rock band called Stomp On Melvin. After her experience with the group, Lindsey wrote a solo violin rock song, and with her performance she won the title of Arizona's Junior Miss and claims the Spirit Award in the America's Junior Miss finals competitions. Lindsey was also a member of Charles Jenkins Band for one year.
  • On October 1st, 2013, Lindsey teamed with Atlanta Music Project to help spread appreciation of music to children who might not otherwise have the chance. The Atlanta Music Project's mission is to inspire social change by providing Atlanta's under-served youth the opportunity to learn and perform music in orchestras and choirs.
  • On March 22nd, 2014, Lindsey joined Cirque du Soleil for the second annual One Night For One Drop in Las Vegas. She along with the non-profit organization presented the show in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in cellebration of World Water Day, a day which encourages people to conserve water resources in an effort to make clean water accessible to all people.
  • In August 2015, Lindsey graduated from the Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation management.
